I’m guessing to show the insane disconnect between how the right wing media treats Obama vs. people like Giuliani. There’s no reason to think that Obama is gay, but that’s a near constant refrain on the right. There was the Larry Sinclair hoax, the baseless allegations about Reggie Love, Obama couldn’t even hug Nina Pham without CCJ’s expert opinion on it being” how gay men hug straight women.”

Then you have someone like Rudy actually cross-dressing in public, which you’re right, should be anybody’s business. But what’s notable is that the right never made a thing about it, because he’s one of theirs, he’s “America’s Mayor.” More damning really is how Rudy turned his back on the gay friends who took him in during his ugly divorce, because he still wanted to run for President. The fact is he abandoned the close friends who were there for him when it mattered, because of the reality that the GOP is a hopelessly bigoted party.
