If this persons god is the designer of life, then his god is a fucking idiot. I was born with a bad aortic valve and digestive valve. Have had surgeries since I was fucking 1 year old to stay alive. If his god designed that, the designer is a fucking moron. Much easier to believe that is was just a happenstance of fate for me.

I think we’ve had this conversation around here before, but I always feel like the obvious argument against intelligent design (or creationism more generally) is that humans are actually piss poorly designed. Brittle bones, easily punctured skin, an immune system that will turn against itself, reproduction and waste disposal using the same parts, vision is poor and always failing, bad hearing, bad sense of smell, only two sets of teeth for a life time (which don’t even all fit), slow, not particularly strong… like that gets a failing most design classes.
