Four preliminaries: I identify as a conservative. Fox News has not held my attention. I would not be sorry to see the Murdoch empire broken up. I would not be sorry to see the Murdochs, if convicted in a fair trial, sent to prison for massive invasions of privacy.

That said, I am concerned that governments here and abroad will use this scandal as a pretext to restrict the media.

You shouldn’t worry about that here. Here, Fox has a perfectly legal First Amendment right to propagandize the gullible.
