Those aren’t viable “solutions” to any problem other than the GOP are idiots. The problem is that your solution, if employed by the electorate, would lead to a 100% Democrat federal government.

That is not what I implied. What I, somewhat sarcastically, suggested is that the GOP must learn to function without its fringe of loons. Right now the fringe controls, which is why we have only complete idiots, or anarchists like Paul, or liars like Romney running and the one sane one, Huntsman, just going through the motions. The GOP needs to lose badly before the sane ones can get the courage to stand up.

On the other hand, which applies to both parties, when 94% of election winners are the ones with the biggest donations the system is already rigged to be bought. I do think the Democrats might be inclined to change that if they could but the Republicans believe democracy is for sale, according to their religion.
