I was comparing the cult of personality, or lack thereof regarding Palin and Obama. There is a difference between loyalty, i.e., the conservatives’ loyalty towards Sarah Palin, and merely voting for a candidate. People vote for candidates all the time without being particularly loyal. Conservatives state that mass “drinking the koolaid” was what got Obama elected. My theory is that is false - Obama’s loyalists were overstated in number and were in large part blacks and elitists. Most others voted for him because of the economy, the war and eight years of the opposite party in power. You are barking up the wrong tree with what you thought you saw.

Well, you should read what you have just posted. “Obama’s loyalists were overstated in number and were in large part blacks and elitists.” If they were overstated, how could he have been elected?
