Back during the fight on the “Assault Weapons” ban in 1994, I knew a lot of cops who were opposed to it, and to gun control in general. All that kind of law does is make the law suspect in the eyes of people who otherwise are law abiding. This report, to the extent that it mattered at all, probably did more harm than good by doing the same kind of thing.

What I don’t understand is, how did a CONVICTED FELON get possession of a rifle? von Brunn is a convicted felon.
Looks like another example of an ex-con solidifying his ultra-right beliefs in prison the same way Islam convert jihadists get their indoctrination in prison.
