I was “scheduled” for a C-section the following week but my little bundle of joy decided to come a little earlier so it was on Friday evening and my doctor was at a party… I wasn’t supposed to go into labor but I had… and the anesthesiologist and doctor hadn’t shown up yet. You’re not supposed to administer anesthesia until the anesthesiologist gets there, however…

I didn’t sue, but when I received the portion of the bill for the general anesthetic (insurance paid for the epidural), I sent him a letter and reminded him that things were not done correctly. He sent the bill back marked “PAID IN FULL”.

I had memory problems for quite awhile after that, though.
