Ya know, this morning I thought I’d need to be talked off the ledge regarding my thinking that the whole “deplorables” was a gaff and Hillary fucked up and that this race shouldn’t be this close and while I still think this race should not even be this close I am beginning to think Hillary Rope-a-doped him with the deplorables comment.

I’m fatalistic about stuff like this. If Hillary’s “deplorables” statement (which is a simple statement of fact) ends up being an important net negative with general election voters, the US experiment will have failed.
