Annual cardiologist exam today. It’s a game you won’t win in the long run, but sometimes you can get in a shot or two:

Cardio (a good guy, BTW): Let’s see, I think your previous cardiologist did a heart catheter, right?

Me: Huh? No, my previous cardiologist, well, I think he’s passed on, now. The one before him, he retired but I don’t know if he’s still alive. I think you’re talking about four cardiologists ago, a young guy from St. Croix working at the University of Texas Teaching Hospital in Tyler. He did the catheter. Held my interest, watching on the monitor. Came out fine.

Cardio: Huh.
