Think they’ll make it? Not a chance (see also Dirty Dancing, Footloose, Red Dawn, and every other 80s movie that they’ve tried and failed to reboot).

I don’t have high hopes for Top Gun (not a reboot, but a sequel), and limited hopes for the Dune reboot (I have seen the kwisatz haderach, and it is Denis Villeneuve who will try to capture the coherence, scope and grandeur, and vision that was lacking in the original by Lynch).

I get that remakes are nothing new but it really seems lazy to do all these remakes.
