How can the fringe control an entire party? If it’s not the fringe, then that means that half the country is in a position where it can’t live with the other half, and it goes both ways. How can this be dealt with?

The GOP needs to lose badly before the sane ones can get the courage to stand up.

And what if this doesn’t happen? It doesn’t look likely at the moment.

On the other hand, which applies to both parties, when 94% of election winners are the ones with the biggest donations the system is already rigged to be bought. I do think the Democrats might be inclined to change that if they could but the Republicans believe democracy is for sale, according to their religion.

So says the Obama supporter who’s candidate/party received the largest share of campaign money in the last election.
