I’ve been covered by health insurance for over ten years through my husband’s employer and I’ve seen premiums rise, deductibles rise, co-pays rise and prescription costs rise. Something has to be done to get a handle on healthcare costs. Screaming “socialism” isn’t the answer. What President Obama has implemented is a start and can be fine tuned. The U.S. cannot compete financially with other countries that furnish heathcare for their citizens.

But hardly anything was done about “costs”, while plenty will be done about price. The way health care is made affordable in this bill is by subsidizing it. The same costs, and pressures pushing them up, are still there.
