As for the Hitler “debate,” I think it’s been mainly held in Jonah Goldberg’s head. The reputable historians of the subject agree on the answer, and I haven’t seen one who agrees with Goldberg.

I think with the advent of Fox, left wing extremism has been recognized. Prior to Fox, I don’t think you can find mention of left-wing extremists to any significant degree. I think in my rant, I was speaking in general. My impression of the views of the MSM are not from a statement in a link, it is primarily from 40 plus years of listening to them. If you believe that the MSM does something other than a brief, obscure, and token acknowledgment of left wing extremism every blue moon, then surely, you must have a link in mind. Take it a step further and give me a link that will explain why anyone believes there is some sort of significant denial of right wing extremism.

I am unaware of Jonah Goldberg’s views on Hitler. But no known right-winger in the United States has ever advocated gun confiscation.
