The hospital we went to had about a dozen delivery rooms (one mother per room) and less than a dozen doctors on duty, so they kind of circulated during the early phases of the labor, until it was time to start working and get junior out. However, the monitor in each room was split into 12 windows, showing the vitals of the patients in each room; so wherever the doctors were, if one patient suddenly went erratic or alarms went off, they’d see/hear it and go running.

sounds more typical, nice setup…a bad reaction to any spinal should be instantly addressed
