Thanks all y’all but I can’t help but recognize that I kept them trying to save his life when his widow and daughter didn’t want them to.
He was 89, had prostate cancer and a host of other problems and all, but I hadda butt in - well, one of the EMT workers showed me the do not resuscitate order unless doc says too - and his now widow couldn’t reach the doctor and I said they should keep trying.
FUCK. She was in shock, I called his doctor and left a message but until daughter showed up didn’t know that they didn’t want him kept alive, so I sorta prolonged her agony/hope unnecessarily.
