What led up to that was a chain reaction of events. The broadening of the CRA; scandal after scandal at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac; and the horrific oversight of both the house and senate finance committee’s were borderline criminal.

IMHO.

It was a perfect shit storm, of sorts.
