It’s fun to think about the end of the demise of Limbaugh, but I am pretty sure IHeartMedia (aka Clear Channel) will come up with some kind of face saving voodoo to hide the extent of the pay cut involved and keep him around.

The reason is this: It is next to impossible for anyone to generate a penny during middays on radio. If his show can bill 10% of what he did at the start of the previous deal in 2008, that is still many times more than they will be able to squeeze out of that daypart otherwise.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Limbaugh wind up on SiriusXM. After all, they gave Glenn Beck his own channel of 24/7 derp. And that’s where Dr. Laura also wound up…
