But Coates is right about one thing, there’s a lot of alt-history proposals that have not enjoyed the conversion to TV series or films that the Civil War and WWII have. How about a series about an America where the Revolutionary War failed? Or one where Imperial Germany won in WWI and so men like Hitler never rose to power? Or how about a WWII where America intervened earlier and Nazi Germany was fought to an uneasy armistice rather than utterly defeated? Or some factor (successful coup, failure of atomic bombs) led to the Allied invasion of the Japan home islands?

The Two Georges. Would make for an interesting miniseries.
