Yes, but the underlying principle was that Burdick wanted to refuse the pardon so that he could continue to refuse answering any questions about his sources that might place him in legal jeopardy. Meaning that Burdick is on point with regards to Arpaio no longer being able to plead the 5th in any civil proceedings where the questions relate to activities covered by the pardon.

So what happens if Arpaio improperly pleads the 5th? The normal response would be contempt of court, but we all know how that would end up.
