Sorry to go OT but we just got back from putting my dog down. I’ve lost a dog before but only in sleep. Tears here.

Oh, man. As you know I did that about a year ago. It’s really hard, even if you know for sure that it was time. They latch onto a big part of our hearts when they’re with us, and take that with them when they go.

Let yourself cry, scream, laugh, punch a pillow - whatever you need to do. Don’t let ANYONE tell you to ‘get over it’.
