re: #73 BigPapa

Anti-corporate populists are just as bad as conservatives. Every time I see a leftist use ‘corporatist’ as a slur it makes me realize the right would not have the power they do if they didn’t have the complicit left: the right loves corporations, the anti-corporate left hates them so much they won’t support a Dem unless the Dem wants to destroy them all. The results are the same.

I remember Sanders’ surrogates in the media, cough Sirota attacking O’Rourke for “taking corporate money”, it turned out that Beto had just gotten a lot of donations from the many Texans employed by the oil and gas industry. Bernie’s taken money from people employed by the defense industry. Ain’t no one on the left calling Bernie a tool of the military industrial complex because of that. My problem with the new left is they’re hypocritical and honestly uninterested in real goverance. They’d rather be right than work for a solution and I think that’s the real legacy of the Tea Party for both left and right. I don’t always agree with the Democratic establishment but I see them as at interested in working for process and working based on facts and reality. I don’t see that with those who despise them for “selling” out.
