I don’t know - BHO’s constituents seemed to like old Hugo, don’t know where Russia or the Ukraine would be, and think that Iran with a nuke is no problem at all. Their first instinct in all cases (and I include Chavez, who’s railed against zionist conspiracies against his revolution and his life; Putin et al, who back Iran for reasons having to do with “the great game”, and Iran, whose leadership want Israel gone and Jews dead) will be to blame Israel.

“See,” they’re saying to themselves even now, “the Obamessiah’s commander of the faithful was right. A manufactured crisis has been concocted to delay our immanentizing of the eschaton. Hope, Change, Peace - the Israelis just won’r get on board.”

It occurs to me that this operation certainly will bring change to the Middle East situation — it just may not be the change the left was hoping for.
