Your question is in the form of “when did you stop beating your wife?”
there have been Jews in Jerusalem from long before Mohammed. The Jews never gave up Jerusalem. Never abandoned Jerusalem.

They are there now, and have been for many thousands of years.

Again, my point is that this doesn’t lead to some kind of special claim, over and above the reasonable claim of “we’ve been here a long time”.

Hence my “how many years” question.

We can apply exactly the same arguments to many different people who have at some time or other been kicked out of their homes. Including, most obviously, the pre-colonial American peoples.
