Same goes for Jon Huntsman. He was a reliable wingnut and considered a rising GOP star and possible nominee for President in 2012. Then he accepted Obama’s appointment to be Ambassador to China and suddenly he couldn’t pay people to notice him.

Huntsman polled worse than Herman Cain. That’s all you need to know about the GOP and how they flip out if Obama says anything nice about you. Really that Hunstman was seen as a “moderate” was just showing you how nutty the GOP base has gotten. The guy still wanted to abolish the EPA, still was anti choice, etc. He’s not a bad guy and I thought Obama was smart to choose him for the ambassadorship to the PRC but I wouldn’t want him as president but at the same time, he’s someone the GOP should be embracing rather than the nuts they did like the colossal panderer Romney, the religious bigot Santorum, the outright moron Perry, the has been pseudo intellecutal Gingrich, the nutcase Paul, or the way out of his fucking element Cain..
