The first I saw of the Trump-Carrier deal was a “Trump Carrier deal saves jobs” headline in a local paper.

This is how Trump wins with this bullshit. No amount of after the fact investigating (assuming it even happens or is reported on) will overcome that first headline.

What I think the mainstream media should do with Trump reporting is to put a mandatory 7 day delay on everything Trump-related, and use that time to investigate the substance of what’s going on.

It would be great if we could convince people to read the paper and have the paper do detailed analysis a couple of days after the actual story. But it’s so much easier getting it in pieces from distilled sources.
