have to really enjoy the political calculus being played here by the GOP itself. They know that Trump has lost, will privately admit that its so, but will keep publicly quiet on the off chance that something absurd happens, say a Biden assassination, a disaffected Democrat finally goes off the rails and starts shooting GOP politicians igniting a civil war opportunity, something…. that can be used as a political fulcrum (say another liberal scotus member dying).

WE care about the nation in and of itself, understand the process, the debate of ideas in public, common good, civil rights, opportunity, the ideal of what America can be… These guys in the GOP, none of that matters to them at all, as long as they are in charge. They will change the rules, lie about the rules, move goalposts and Calvinball the absolute shit out of everything as long as they get to be in charge.
