The guy down the street keeps leaving flaming bags of dogshit on your front porch. You’ve got him on camera, you’ve got him confessing on tape, and you’ve got a written confession in email. But the local deputies refuse to take action because the Sheriff worries it might hurt his reelection bid, but they promise that they might do something after the election.

Trying to figure out how that relates to 50 Republicans and two Democrats preventing a vote.
