Setback in the top kill… hopefully a minor problem and not a major setback…

It’s not minor. The leak flow rate is higher than was believed, all the mud on the first supply tanker has been pumped with the majority flowing right through the leaks above the BOP. They need to bung up the leaking holes before they can inject cement. It looks like time for plan B, junk shot with its additional risks.

Looks like the leak is two to four times larger than what BP was estimating. In line with the new estimates from the teams of scientists tasked with calculating the flow rate.
