Two of my best friends on this earth, they’re a gay couple in suburban Detroit, one’s a veterinarian on the edge of owning his own practice (and a type A leadfoot with a twin turbo BMW, hahah), the other is a mild mannered painter who could be an art professor. They both roll their eyes a bit at the SF scene, they’re very midwest, they’re liberal in their politics, but conservative in their demeanor. I feel like the scraggly dirtbag that crawled out of the dumpster compared to them, they’re just this very pleasant and mellow couple, well put together, who would rather talk about stand up comedians and Michigan restaurants, than any politics.
