I think there’s one other thing you have to consider. Does it matter if Iran is a rational actor or not? A nuclear arms race in one of the most unstable regions of the world can bring about a general nuclear conflagaration almost by default. The fact is, the more countries that have the bomb, the greater the likelihood that something will happen. It could start completely by accident. A radar signal misinterpreted.

Do you agree with this particular part? I think earlier you argued that Iran is not a rational actor, unlike USSR, so comparison would be incorrect. (Sorry if I’m confusing something.)
