Could have been worse. They were going for her but they took orders and responded well to the zoo staff.

Can’t imagine what it’s like for those magnificent bears watching all those potential meals come and go everyday.

The last time I went to our local zoo I visited the Congo forest exhibit. It’s set up so you get a feel of what it is like to actually walk through the jungle. Of course barriers protect you from the animals but they are very close and I stopped to look at a beautiful black panther sitting on an old tree limb right over my head. That tail was a swingin’ back an forth and the look in his eyes said, “So near yet so far “. You just knew what he was thinking.
