There’s that famous case in the UK involving a farm and a couple of thugs? I forgot the name of the man that defended himself. He’s still in prison.

I remember that, truly disgusting.

There was a case in NYC in the last few years. Guy moves to NYC from down south somewhere. Brings his handguns with him, a few days after moving up burglar breaks into his apartment. He plugs the thug, and gets charged for a whole slew of weapons violations.
