I’m fatalistic about stuff like this. If Hillary’s “deplorables” statement (which is a simple statement of fact) ends up being an important net negative with general election voters, the US experiment will have failed.

I’m more fatalistic than you. IMO, The US experiment failed when we elected Reagan.
