Tim Scott is capable of recognizing that bit of reality, most likely because he is personally affected by it. Good for him. Every instance of a Republican recognizing reality is grounds for a celebration, no matter how minor or self-serving it may be.

However, Tim Scott is a black Republican, so there must be many other aspects of reality he is blind to.

Republican = only able to understand if it directly affects him. Clearly the phenomenon cuts across races and genders.
