Also there’s a hell of a lot of charge in a model S or X. Even with a model 3 it’d have to be crazy cold to make it impractical as a commuter. I wouldn’t want to cross the Northern States or Canada in a Tesla in the winter if I was in a hurry but for most everyday use it’s gonna be more than enough.

I’ve heard and read people claiming that electric cars would never catch on because it takes so long to charge them, and on a long trip you’d have to stop for too long, too frequently.

The things is, how many families that can afford a $35K sedan have only one car?
