As an aside, I hypothesize that the whole idea of Heaven and Hell was invented because too many people realized that some folks are assholes their whole lives and die of old age, in their own bed, peacefully, surrounded by loved ones. There really is no scorekeeper in this life. So you have to invent one for the next.
