I mean, hell, most Westerners would consider samurai pretty “manly” badasses….yet a good many samurai cultivated refinement through ikebana, kōdō, and chadō (flower arranging, the appreciation of incense and tea ceremony, respectively).

Don’t forget some truly great and beautiful poetry; especially in the case of the samurai’s death poem.

The best warrior always has known the liberal as well as martial arts.
