OK. He’s a fool. But why are we celebrating a boycott intended to force someone off the air? I may disagree with, well- pretty much everything he says AND the way he says it, but I’m getting a bit uncomfortable with this whole thing.

When they come for the fools and dolts, should we fail to speak up because we are not fools and dolts? Moreover, should we encourage those who propose to silence those they consider foolish?

Beck should be off the air. But he should be forced off because of ratings, not some politically motivated boycott.

Taking away someone’s nationally televised platform for hate speech isn’t “silencing” them. Beck is free to say whatever he wants to say. But he isn’t free to have a nationally televised hate speech hour. Taking away his megaphone isn’t silencing him. It’s simply relegating him to Free Republic where he belongs.
