Actually, we’ve been a country in which born here means American. To change that would be to change 400 years of practice.

Again, I really have no idea how to fix the situation with illegals. We have to work with human nature rather than against it, and it’s human nature to want to go where there is opportunity for you and your family.

(Making the observation, again, that the richest man in the world is Mexican.)

I’m fine with a child being considered a American citizen when born in this country. I’m not so sure if that status of being a citizen should extend some special consideration to the mother (or father) if they are illegal.

That’s why we need immigration reform, and I wish all involved would do something about it. We know all the problems that exist with illegal immigration, we should be able to write out some set in stone laws that will act as a definitive guideline to these issues.

The big problem is we are not doing anything right now, and that opens the room up to nuts like Paul.
