In theory, but in practice there’s always some prosecutor or personal injury lawyer looking to ‘push the boundaries’, and juries do sometimes convict on bullshit cases. It would amount to a major burden on gun dealers.
They’re selling guns. They have a major burden of responsibility because of that. Yes, bad prosecutions happen. Right now though, no prosecutions happen. Let’s have some good prosecutions, and be concerned about bad ones if and when they occur.
