It’s close enough. The military response was essentially for show, since we didn’t know where to actually hit, and then we left. And I’m REAL sick of the Right pointing to ‘Blackhawk Down’ as the reason why AQ thought they could cow us, while ignoring Reagan getting the hell out of Dodge after the Marine barracks was destroyed.

To be fair…AQ did not exist at the time of the bombing in Beirut and the people involved were Shiites allied with Iran. It made no tactical or strategic sense to leave people there to be blown up.
