My main problem with it was the whitewashing of torture. That wasn’t just unforgivably amoral, they knew it was antithetical to reality when they wrote it.

And really horrific nasty torture too. Wasn’t there one episode where Jack Bauer tortures somebody by drilling holes in them with an electric drill? That was another big “wait a fucking minute” minute for me.
