Chuck might have real trouble finding a California lawyer willing to defend him if the case gets sent to CAED. Burns could just stay on since he’s nominally passed the federal bar, but at this point one would have to think both he and Chuck would be looking to find his replacement if possible. Also I doubt Burns planned on having to fly to California for court appearances, and if he is taking the case on contingency there’s no money to pay for that.
