Ukraine really does not like it when people use a “the” in front of its name. It’s considered insulting by most Ukrainians, and is a reference back to when the Soviets controlled the country (guess which country still regularly uses “the Ukraine” in referencing the country despite official requests going back to the 90s that it’s “Ukraine”).

Yep. He should know better but then I remember that he clearly doesn’t give a fuck about Ukrainian sovereignty.
