From the previous thread. (It was also noted at the end of the last thread that I keep harping on Mello. Okay, I’ll stop. I’m not in Omaha anyway. We could talk about guns, on which Mr. Mello is significantly closer to the Democratic platform than I am.)

Let me get this straight.

If a bunch of moderate Republicans get sick of Trump taking control of the party and they decide to put a “D” by their name, but they hold onto some conservative thinking like being against abortion (not pro-choice…big difference) it’s okay because then we get some more “D”s in office?

Because in a way I think that is a bit how this is being seen. People are suspicious of Mello from what I can tell and with good reason.

How many other parts of the long-standing Democratic party do we all need to consider chucking so we can have some more Democrats in office?
