A friend was telling me that some hack form the Heritage Foundation wanted us to feel empathy for Trump because he became President so unprepared for the job.

I seem to remember unlimited whining about Obama’s “insufficient” preparation for the job.

A constitutional law professor, 8 years in a state legislature, 4 years as senator… “the presidency is no place for on-the-job training!!” said the half-term governor of a state with smaller population than most congressional districts. They thought her being mayor of her state’s 4th largest city was “sufficient” — a mayor who had to hire a city manager because she couldn’t do it. A city with fewer constituents, fewer staff (and smaller, simpler budget) than the head of the tenants’ association at my home manages as a part-time volunteer gig.
