My mother breastfed while driving….28 years ago. It wasn’t that big of a deal back then. Then about twenty years ago, I met a family that had had a toddler go through a windshield…and live. The girl was in a wheelchair for life, the parents would be taking care of her forever, and financially crippled.

I have put in hours listening to a baby scream while I either tried to get home, or if it wasn’t close enough, tried to get to where I could pull over. (To clarify: I didn’t listen to a baby scream with hunger for hours, the cumulative time is in hours.)
