re: #75 Decatur Deb

A fresh Quinnipiac likely-voter poll shows an 8 point bump for Trump over two weeks. Note that their LV model has had problems in the past.

The waiting is killing me, and although Sanders doesn’t excite me and his followers can tend to be obnoxious (no need to comment, I admire your pragmatic hands-off approach until a candidate is selected) I’m feeling increasingly more confident about him running, should he be the nominee.

To be honest, I loathe poll-watching. Polls tend to act as unsolicited focus groups. I like organic campaigns that go with their gut… perversely, like Trump has… only less stupid, stronger in terms of policy elucidation and appealing to the positive. Clinton has been criticised as appearing to be driven by poll validation. I don’t think it’s true and substance is more important to me than high-flown rhetoric, but I can’t account for the tastes of others and certainly can’t cast a vote of my own.
