Really, who are we counting on to counter Trump’s rhetoric at this point?

His party? Rinsed is already preparing to take a huge bite out of this shit sandwich while his fellow candidates flail as they try to find a way to denounce Trump for all the hate he’s spewing while keeping the base who’s lapping up that hate happy.

The media? They’re totally invested in the spectacle of a Trump nomination now, imagine how much they’re gonna be invested in a Trump presidency? And don’t look to people who spent the 90s engaged in “The Great Penis Hunt”* to come to Hillary’s aid in tearing down the guy they want to see in the White House.

SuperPACs? Perhaps they might lend a hand, but only with the aim of salvaging the GOP’s Senate majority. And even they will respect the same sort of limits that the GOP is imposing upon itself to avoid totally pissing off the base.
