The military is “depleted” but we had no problem creating an “armada” to send to the Korean peninsula the general vicinity of Asia.

The US spends more than the next 8-10 nations on military spending combined.

That includes everyone from rivals like Russia and China as well as allies like Germany, UK, France, and India.

In other words, we’re spending several times the amount that our actual enemies, and the right wingers think this isn’t enough.

All that spending will be meaningless under Trump though. He’s likely to start a war with our ships and personnel in the wrong place at the wrong time, all because he’s completely fucked up the chain of command, ignores our intel, ignores the need to get daily briefings, and thinks all of this is normal.
